Gap Foundation
The Gap Foundation Partners with Enterprise
Enterprise for High School Students is honored that the Gap Foundation has selected us to be one of its partners. As Gap strives to create opportunities for people to fulfill their personal promise, so does Enterprise work to provide youth access to opportunities to raise their expectations for individual success. And as Gap's cause is career exploration and job readiness education, Enterprise 's mission is to increase student preparedness to explore and pursue career paths through training, counseling, guidance, and real work experience. The Gap Foundation's recognition of compatible goals will allow EHSS to continue to give students in San Francisco a wide array of options for mapping their education and career routes. We sincerely thank the Gap for assisting EHSS in challenging youth to create their future.

REI, Clif Bar
& Coca-Cola Fuel 2007 Summer Gardening Program
|
|
Gardening can be a physically demanding and very rewarding endeavor. Twenty-four enthusiastic and dedicated Enterprise students will experience this natural adventure as they partner this summer with the grounds crew of the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department.
By the end of the seven-week program, the students gain the satisfaction of completing outdoor projects and understand the requirements of keeping a job. They also learn about working effectively as part of a team while obtaining a valuable appreciation of our environment.
To keep the students and team leaders energized, three companies, REI (Recreational Equipment, Inc), Clif Bar and Coca-Cola, stepped forward to fuel our youth's efforts to maintain, beautify and restore the city and national parks. Coca-Cola supplied Dasani water, the REI water bottles help quench the students' thirst and the hundreds of Clif Bars infuse our youth daily with a quick energy boost.
Thanks and a hearty two green thumbs up to REI , Clif Bar and Coca-Cola for their civic commitment and investment in our future workforce and San Francisco's outdoor jewels. |

The San Francisco Chamber of Commerce Partners with Enterprise
|
| Each summer, our Career Exploration Program provides youth with hands-on internships in a broad scope of challenging industries. During this seven-week program, the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce generously opens their San Francisco office and provides our students, advisors and staff with meeting space and audio-visual equipment. This philanthropic offer from this nationally recognized educational institution provides our participants with a convenient and safe venue where they can share their internship experiences, learn from each other and make new friends. Thanks to the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce for their support in developing and training our future workforce. |

Development
Enterprise is continuing to expand its programs to keep up with the growing needs of San Francisco’s youth. Given the lack of student advisory resources in the public schools, there are critical needs for the enhancement and expansion of our youth services within the community. The San Francisco Unified School District estimates that there is ONLY one counselor per 1,151 students. We need to continue developing and expanding Enterprise programs.
Enterprise has a proven track record in using education and training to increase student readiness to pursue job development. What started out as a job referral non-profit soon grew to provide many components that youth need to start their journey into the working world. Students, motivated by desire and need, have a place that enables them to seek out higher education, job, and career opportunities and to maximize their potential.
Our case is clear, San Francisco’s youth need our help and guidance. Enterprise for High School Students improves the community, is cost effective, and has a proven track record in increasing student’s readiness through education and training to pursue and achieve success.
Enterprise for High School Students needs your help to enhance and expand existing programs that create new and exciting opportunities for San Francisco’s youth.
Please, invest in the future of tomorrow, and make a donation to Enterprise for High School Students today. Your donation is fully tax-deductible. You can rest assured that your gift will be gratefully received and wisely used.
