Do you have some time you'd like to put toward making a difference in the lives of San Francisco teens? If so, we welcome you to volunteer with us! There are many ways to plug in and lend a hand. If you have a special skill that you don't see listed below, please do not hesitate to let us know how you can help. Support our youth through the following volunteer opportunities:

CEP Advisor Advise a group of 3-4 student interns through the Career Exploration Program (7-week summer program). Facilitate small groups at workshops, visit internship sites, challenge and support students as they “try on” a career.  Desire to inspire young people to achieve their full potential, min. 2 years professional experience, BA/BS preferred. Short-term volunteer opportunity: Two to four hours/week during the summer. Please read the job description for more information (under CEP Advisor).

Career Panelist Help youth become more knowledgeable about a variety of career options.  Through the Career Compass Program, speak on a panel(s) to educate youth about your career field. ALL career areas are welcome. Short-term volunteer opportunity! 2 hours per panel event. 

Corporate Outreach Volunteer Represent Enterprise in the San Francisco business community and identify potential relationship opportunities within the corporate sector that will lead to collaboration. Flexible, enthusiastic and creative thinkers are encouraged to volunteer. Marketing, selling and public speaking experience preferable. 8-10 hours/month for 6 months.

Internship Supervisor Guide youth in setting and attaining goals as they “try on” a career at your organization through our Career Exploration Program. Promote skill development, ensure that students meet their minimum 105-hour internship requirement, submit evaluations and time sheets. ALL career areas are welcome. Short-term volunteer opportunity! 15-30 hours/week during the summer.To learn more about CEP, visit the CEP page.  

Job Developer Assist Enterprise staff in finding job opportunities throughout San Francisco. This volunteer position involves contacting area businesses and organizations, explaining Enterprise programs, and encouraging employers to list job openings in the Enterprise Job Bank. This is a year-round opportunity with a commitment of 8 hours per month.

Outreach Assistant Market all Enterprise programs to students at high schools and community-based organizations. This includes distributing brochures and explaining membership requirements and programs. Strong oral communication skills is a must. Previous experience working with youth is preferred. 1 outreach (or more!)/month for 4 months.

Online Auction Assistant We're creating an online auction as a new fundraising vehicle! Emphasis: art, antiques and wine. We need someone to assist with uploading photos and data. The volunteer can even work off-site. You would be trained on how to use the specific web-based program. Someone with intermediate computer skills is preferred. Please contact the Volunteer Coordinator for more information.

Party Assistance InstructorTeach workshops to students interested in applying for catering spot jobs through the Job Referral Program. Topics relevant to catering events, including setting formal and buffet tables, techniques for serving food, cleaning, and safety issues are covered. Ability to teach high school aged students, knowledge of catering, or front of the house restaurant skills required. 1 hour/month plus prep. time. Late afternoon workshops.
