Outreach Assistant
Volunteer Job Description
Enterprise for High School Students is a non-profit agency founded in 1969 to assist San Francisco high school students with school-to-work transition and youth development. We provide a variety of services that allow youth to develop job skills, find jobs, and explore career interests.
Objective:
Market all Enterprise programs to San Francisco high school students
Duties:
- Conduct outreach at high schools and community-based organizations. This includes:
- Distributing informational material
- Explaining membership requirements and various programs
- Reporting outcomes of outreach to Enterprise
- Contact the school or organization to arrange outreach date and venue (*for interested volunteer
Qualifications:
- Strong oral communication skills
- Ability to learn about Enterprise’s programs and relay that information to youth
- Previous experience working with high school students preferred
Time Commitment:
Volunteers must be available to conduct one outreach per month for a minimum of four months. Volunteers are welcome to conduct more than one per month, schedule permitting. Please note that outreach at schools usually occurs during class hours. Outreach assignments at community-based organizations may be more flexible.
