Volunteer Job Developer
Job Description

Enterprise for High School Students is a non-profit agency founded in 1969 to assist San Francisco high school students with school-to-work transition and youth development. We provide a variety of services that allow youth to develop job skills, find jobs, and explore career interests.

Job Referral Program Description:

The greatest number of students using Enterprise services are involved in the Job Referral Program, available to them throughout the calendar year. The program refers students to both commercial and domestic jobs on either a spot, temporary, or ongoing basis. To participate in the job referral program or any Enterprise program, students must attend two Job Readiness Workshops and have a one-on-one Interview with a staff member.

Job Developer Objective:

Develop appropriate job leads agency-wide.

Duties:

  • Assist with
  • job development outreach, which includes phone calls, e-mails and/or visits to businesses.
  • Conduct outreach to merchant associations, local newspapers, etc.
  • Answer general questions about Enterprise.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Strong networking, organizational and phone skills a plus

Time Commitment:

Volunteers must be available eight hours per month.
