Job Referral Program (Job Bank)
The Job Referral Program operates year-round, providing after-school, weekend, and summer employment opportunities for freshmen through seniors attending high schools throughout San Francisco. Our extensive "job bank" has both commercial and domestic jobs available. These jobs could be for just one weekend or last throughout high school.
In addition to having access to all of the job listings, telephones are on-site to use to contact employers, as well as computers to use to prepare resumes and cover letters. Student Services staff are always available to assist and guide students in the job search process.
Annually, Enterprise for High School Students has 3,000 job listings ranging in salary from $9.79 to $15.00 an hour. The types of jobs listed are diverse from data entry, reception, file clerk, elderly assistance, and retail sales to child care, medical and dental office assistance, gardening, and web site design. Skills gained from these jobs include word processing, data entry, spreadsheet software applications, customer service, sales, organizational skills, appropriate workplace behavior, written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work in a diverse setting.
