About the Program

The purpose of the Youth Ambassador Program is to enhance youth ambassadors’ communication and leadership skills by participating in monthly leadership workshops, collaborating with Enterprise’s outreach efforts at their school, and representing the youth voice to the staff and Board of Enterprise for High School Students.

Ambassadors’ responsibilities

Attend leadership training sessions once a month
Interact on a regular basis with Enterprise staff and other youth ambassadors
Represent EHSS and participate in school outreach at their school
As a member of the Youth Advisory Committee, provide feedback on existing as well as future EHSS’s programs, representing the youth voice to the staff and the Board of Directors
Play an integral role in the planning and participation in the annual EHSS Open House in February 2009

Qualifications required

EHSS membership
Communication skills
Leadership skills and/or leadership potential
Positive attitude
Ability to follow through
Ability to work well with others (team work)
Commitment to our program purposes
Availability from November 2006 through May 2007
Prior work/volunteer experience preferred

Interested students should fill out the Youth Ambassador Program application and enclose a resume. A letter of recommendation is desirable but not required. Applications need to be completed and returned to Enterprise by clicking the link below.
