At EHSS, our entire focus is on you. We're committed to giving you the skills, experience, knowledge, and support to be successful in work, education, and life.

Programs for Work, College, and Careers. We offer two comprehensive career development programs, which are the foundation of your EHSS experience. Both of these programs are intensive -- with workshops on everything from acing your first interview and writing a stellar resume to learning in-demand skills such as Microsoft Word and Excel and what's needed to deliver superior customer service.

Once you've participated in one of our two comprehensive programs, you not only will have an impressive set of skills that employers are looking for, you have access to a whole range of employment options, from retail and computers to childcare and party help, through our members-only job bank. You even have the opportunity for paid internships, summer work experience, and career and college counseling.

EHSS is Open to All San Francisco High School Students. Our programs are available to all San Francisco high school students - and that diversity is one of the best things about our programs. You'll meet and work with students from all over the city in our interactive workshops and on many EHSS jobs, too.

Last year, over 300 students became part of EHSS. Our workshops are held at our downtown office, which is easy to get to by Muni and BART.

We're Here for You. Becoming part of EHSS also means working with advisors and counselors who share a passionate belief in your potential. We love helping students because we know it's not just about getting a job...

It's about acquiring the tools and information you need to be successful in your first job - and all the ones after that.

This Way Ahead is an amazing program. I learned a lot about interpersonal relationships and working with all kinds of people through the different activities. The program includes perks like a Muni pass and a stipend, which really helped me out. Plus, the training and connections I made at EHSS led to me getting a job at the Exploratorium.

I'm applying to college now, something very important to me, and Enterprise has been a great resource with that, too.

It makes me think of the saying 'If you give a man a fish, he eats for a day. If you teach a man to fish, he eats forever.' That's what EHSS does.
