I don't know where else I would have gotten the hands-on training I received in Pathways. Beyond learning computer and office skills, the counselors prepare you for the transition to having an actual job, and they're super supportive. They made it seem like work would be fun and exciting - and it was.

After going through Pathways, I was accepted to an internship at Mother Jones through CEP. I learned an incredible amount, plus I worked 30 hours a week and was paid. EHSS does a great job of matching the student with the right internship. I just finished applying to college, and my supervisor at Mother Jones even wrote me a recommendation. I'm thinking about journalism. Or maybe behavioral biology.
